Nomination for Website of Excellence™ The American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress is a multidisciplinary network of professionals who are committed to the advancement of intervention for survivors of trauma. The Academy aims to identify expertise among professionals, across disciplines, and provide meaningful standards for those who work regularly with survivors. Today, our international membership includes individuals from over 200 professions in the health-related fields, emergency services, criminal justice, forensics, law, business and education. With Members in every state of the United States and 58 foreign countries, our association is the largest organization of its kind in the world. The American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress recognizes exemplary websites that aim to increase awareness of the effects of trauma and ultimately improve the quality of intervention for survivors. In this spirit, the Academy has developed a program to recognize these sites.
